- The join or die cartoon was made during this war by Benjiman Franklin. The French and British were fighting over the Ohio River Valley. Britian won the war.

- The colonists were being unfairly taxed. Britain needed the money to restore the lost money from the war. There were several taxes like the Stamp Act, Sugar Act, and the Quatering Act.
- Battle of Lexington and Concord { April 19,1775}

- Edward Garrik was insulted by a British solider named Private Hugh White. The boy got hit by the end of a musket, which started the fight. 5 people died, and that was why it was called the Boston Massacre.
- Bunker Hill { June 16,1775}

- Around 150 colonists dressed up as Mowhawk Indians. They opened and dumped 342 crates of tea. A Quote from the colonists were" Rally Mowhawks!- Bring out your axes and tell King George we'll pay no taxes on his foreign tea!"
- There were people called Minutemen{ farmers} and they were on the colonist's side. British soliders said for the Minutemen to leave, and when they turned around, someone fired their gun. A poet named Ralph Waldo Emerson called the gunshot " the shot heard'round the world."
- The militia built a fort on June 16, but it got destroyed by the British. More than 2,000 British soliders marched up Breeds Hill. More than half of the British's soliders were wounded or killed.
