- Alex Rider answers opens the door to the police. The police explain how Alex's uncle Ian has died in a rough car crash.

- In this scene Alex finds his uncle's BMW. He notices it has definitely not been in a car wreck, all that he sees is bullet holes. Alex ends up seeing a guy and injuring him enough for Alex to get away.

- Alex gets a call from Crawley ( one of his uncles coworkers ) and wants Alex to come to the office to look at his uncles paperwork. He gets there and finds papers that say "Stormbreaker." Before Alex could figure anything else, Crawley and the guy from the junkyard come in and shoot Alex with a bullet that makes Alex unconscious.

- Alex wakes up and meets with Mr.Blunt and Mrs.Jones. They explain that them and his uncle work for this thing called M16. They say that Ian was killed on a mission. They ask Alex to pretend to be a kid named Felix to tour at Sayle's factory ( Sayle is an enemy of them ).
- After a mission and jumping out of a plane. Alex is given multiple cool new gadgets. Alex was finally told who killed his uncle, Yassen Gregorovich.
- In chapter 7 Alex is brought to Sayle Enterprises where he begins his mission as Felix Lester. Alex is brought to a room that he realizes his uncle lived in for a while. The next day Alex plays with strombreaker and snoops around a bit but gets caught, he ends up having dinner with Sayle and plays a game.
