Romeo and JulietAct II scene ii
Romeo! my cousin Romeo! Romeo!
He jests at scars that never felt a wound.
What light through yonder window breaks? It is the East and Juliet is the sun.
Oh Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?
by Georgia Thies
I take thee at thy word. Call me but love and I'll be new baptized.
My ears have not yet drunk 100 words...art thou not Romeo?
Romeo climbs over the wall into the Capulet orchard.
Th' exchange of thy love's faithful vow for mine.
What satisfaction canst thou have tonight?
Romeo sees Juliet at the window and compares her to the sun. Juliet laments the fact that Romeo is a Montegue.
Hence will I to my ghostly father's cell, his help to crave and my dear hap to tell.
If that thy bent of love be honorable, thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow...
Juliet!
Romeo announces himself, saying he'll give up his name. Juliet recognizes him by his voice.
Romeo asks Juliet to swear her love for him.
Romeo and Juliet make plans to get married the next day and the Nurse calls Juliet inside.
