- The care taker awakens from his nightmare standing at the foot of the old mans bed. He's in shock that he even conceived this plan. He decides to turn himself in. He finds himself upset because he swore to himself he wasn't insane, but in reality, he is. He wanted to kill the old man because his vulture eye vexed him. He turns around and goes back to his chamber.
- Perhaps I am mad, how could I have the audacity to murder my master?
- In the morning, the care taker walks from the house all the way down town to the police station. He felt as even though he did not want to turn himself in it would be profound. the ringing in his ears was muffled, he could not focus on the sound. The voices in his head were gone with the low dull sound All he could think about was the old man and his evil eye.
- The jailer decided to put him in a cell until court day. As he got to his chamber he met his sell mate. The man was large and mean. The cell mate would derision the care taker for being mad. The care taker realizes what he has done and starts to cry.
