- Mr. White and Mrs.White and their son Herbert wait for their guest Sargent Major Morris to arrive

- Sargent Major Morris tells them about a monkey paw that he got that can grant you wishes. He tells the whites to be carefull and that it is dangerous but they do not believe him . So Mr.White makes a wish for 200 pounds to pay off his house debt.
- Falling Action
- The next day Herbert goes off to work and a few hours later someone from Herberts company informs the white that herbert has died in a terrible accident . To make up for the accident the company gives them 200 pounds.
- Resalution
- After their son had died the Whites were devastated. But then Mrs.White thought of the idea to wish back her son using the monkeys paw. Later that night the Whites hear a lot of knocking at their door.Which both know is their son.
- Mr.White knows that his son is not the son his wife remembers and that it is the messed up one that he saw when
- I Wish.....
