IMAGINE .......
•Traveling to planets in other galaxies •Being taken over by a humongous brain •Being nursed back to health by a beast •Flying through space with stars •Meeting someone that is a million+ years old
The story begins -- A dark and stormy night ... Mrs. Murry goes outside to check on the dog, and comes back in with an old lady -- an old lady that Charles Wallace obviously knows; her name is Mrs. Whatsit.
"Why is my mom upset by that word; what could it mean?" thinks Meg.
"There is such a thing as a tesseract" says Mrs. Whatsit.
"The tesseract, how could she have known?"said Mrs. Murry.
"Why is she here?" thinks Charles Wallace.
Charles Wallace knew the way to the house, and took them there. Meg and Calvin do not understand what is happening.
Meg, Charles Wallace and their friend Calvin visit Mrs. Whatsit's house, where they meet Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which.
"Trust in us ... we won't go without you," says Mrs. Who.
Their father saves them from the humongous brain ("IT"), except for Charles Wallace. The rest of them travel to Ixchel, and later Meg returns to try and free Charles Wallace.
The kids travel through space to the planet Camazotz, where Meg and Charles Wallace reunite with their father.
TRAVELING THROUGH TIME AND SPACE ......
"With tesseract, you can travel through space without having to go the long way around," says Mrs. Whatsit.
"I feel like I am being torn apart by a whirlwind" thinks Meg.
"Meg, you saved me, you saved me!" said Charles Wallace.
As they all return home, Meg realizes that she has love and that is not something that IT has.
Meg knows that Charles Wallace is still taken over by IT, and she wonders if he will ever get out of IT's control. She worries about a lot of things, but Charles Wallace being the main thing. She is able to save Charles Wallace so he is no longer under IT's control, and then they can return home.
"Meg, you did it, you saved Charles Wallace from IT!" exclaimed Calvin.
"Charles, I love you, I love you!" said Meg. She worried "What if I didn't have him to love and treasure? What if he never got out of ITs control?"
"Oh, Meg, I'm so proud of you, that you saved Charles Wallace!" yelled Mrs. and Mr. Murry.
