- why do I feel so sick?
- I had a lot of fun when I was a kid. I played a lot, but got sick quite often.
- I loved school and competitive sports, I worked harder to succeed and went to school even when I was very ill. Even when I pushed myself, my coaches and teachers thought that I was making excuses.
- I felt horrible everyday and felt hopeless and depressed. Doctors did lots of tests. I finally got some answers and found out I needed treatments, but they weren’t covered on insurance.
- I misses two years of school and had to be homeschooled. I watched other kids my age having fun and get to go places that I wished I could go. Then, my treatments got approved and I got admitted to the hospital.
- I was finally able to return to school and focus on my studies ! I was so happy!
