This supports man vs man because it is Idek almost beating Elie to death. So it is a man vs man conflict.
- Man vs Nature
- "Why did I pray? Strange question. Why did I live? Why did I breathe?" (Wiesel 4). This is man vs self because he is questioning himself. He is wondering why he didn't do anything.
- Man vs Society
- "What are You, my God? I thought angrily" (Wiesel 66). This is describing man vs god because he is questioning god. He is not happy with god and is wondering why he is not helping him.
- The End
- "A few people slipped out of the ranks, hoping to hide in some abandoned buildings" (Wiesel 88). This is describing man vs nature because it is snowing and all of the people are cold. They are trying to get out of the snow and find shelter.
- "To hang a child in front of thousands of onlookers was not small matter" (Wiesel 64). This is an example of man vs society because they are forced to watch people get hung. The germans force them to watch it they have no choice and if they argue there will be consequences.
