- Juliet is apart of the Capulet family, the rivals of the Montagues. Her age is 14 and she runs into Romeo at her family party and they kiss.

- Romeo is apart of the Montague family, the rivals of the Capulets. His age is unknown. He runs into Juliet at a Capulet party and quickly falls in love.
- Benvolio

- Tybalt is apart of the Capulet family. He is Juliet's cousin and he is a fighter. He picks a fight with Romeo and Benvolio.
- Benvolio is a cousin of Romeo and he is trying to make peace.
- Mercutio is a good friend of Romeo and he is family of the prince and Paris. He gets killed in this scene.
