- Duke is in love with Olivia, who is in mourning for her dead brother. Viola is shipwrecked on Illyria and she thought that her twin brother Sebastian drowned.
- Viola disguises herself as a man and calls herself Cesario. "Cesario" then began serving in Orsino's court where she ends up falling in love with Duke while still being disguised as a man. Olivia ends up fallling in love with "Cesario."
- Sebastian is alive and is staying with a man named Antonio who's on the other side of the island.
