- Lucy and her family are flying to London to stay at the house her grandmother grew up in. The weather is Stormy and hard to ignore.A technique in this frame is, the use of Low Cour Symbolism. This shows that everything around the airplane appears to be dark and scary, the audience might not feel comfortable
- Lucy receives her food and drink that is to be provided for her while on the plane . She does not enjoy the food and wonders how people eat it. Some techniques in this frame are, a wide angle shot. By using the wide angle shot the audience are able to see the length of the plane and even the windows which yet again show the use of Low colour symbolism.
- Yuck! How do people eat this stuff?
- The airplane then lands on the runway and is escorted to the exit where the passengers can get off. As the reader looks at the runway their eyes are immediately drawn to the plane as it is the salient image in this particular frame.
- Lucy and her family take a taxi to get to her grandmothers childhood home. Lucy begins to recognise that there is a peculiar looking grey van following them. The frame uses an establishing shot to show the environment the characters are in.
- Lucy arrives at her grandmother's childhood property. She thanks the taxi driver and still notices that the van was still behind the taxi. The use of the long shot in this frame provides a clear view of what the house appears like and some of its surroundings.
- The house is empty and looks as if it had been left to rot. There is only the few boxes that sit on the cold, wooden floorboards, ready to collect dust. A close up shot is used to reveal the boxes that have just been brought into the house. The audience cannot see what is in front of the boxes which makes them feel a sense of uncertainty and fear of the unknown.
