By around 900 AD (The end of the Mayan civilization), most Mayan cities had collapsed, no one fully knowns why. There are Mayans still to this day. The civilization of Maya ran from 250 AD-900 AD. Our civilization today is different from Ancient Maya because we are much more developed and modern, while Maya wasn't and had to work a lot harder during their lives. Ancient Maya bad a lot more impact during their time times then we did, such as a lot of advancements in math, astronomy and writing.
