- Police came to Mapp's home without a warrant to search her home because they believed she was harboring a suspected bomber. The police demanded entry but Mapp wanted them to have a search warrant

- Dollree Mapp said the police went against her 4th amendment right, protection from unreasonable search and seizure. Her case against Ohio went to the supreme court. The court decided that the evidence found was seized unlawfully, without a search warrant so it could not be used in criminal prosecutions in state courts.
