- Muhammad was born into the clan of a powerful Meccan family. He was orphaned at 6 years old and was raised by his grandfather and uncle. He barely received education, by 25 years of age, he became a trader and business manager for a wealthy business woman. Later on, he married this woman.
- MUHAMMAD
- Muhammad took interest in religion. His life changed when he heard a voice calling to him while he meditated in a cave outside Mecca. He believed that this voice was Allah. He started teaching about Allah and how he was the only and one God, the people who agreed to this were called Muslims. His wife, close friends, and family were the first followers. He begun to teach publicly in Mecca, but, many people thought this would lead to neglect of traditional Arab Gods.
