When is it going to be my turn? Ive been waiting so long!
It's my toy! I decide when I want to give it to you!
Hey! You are not playing very fair and not sharing!
Imagine we were outside at the playground. A friend is making all the decisions and not sharing with their friends. The other friends are upset because they would like a turn with the toy. Imagine if it were like this for our branches of government. If only one branch had the power of deciding, the other branches would not be happy. As a result, the three branches would not run effectively! Lets learn more about the branches of government!

The Creators of the Constitution had feared that there was going to be too much centralized power amongst one branch of government. Through Separation of Powers, it equally divides the power throughout the three branches. This ensures that one branch does not become too powerful against the others.
The Separation of Powers began on September 3,1787 by the President, Congress, and the Supreme Court
There are three different branches of government. They are the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branch.

Hi there! We are the Three branches of government. From the left we have the Legislative, the Judicial, and the Executive. We each have different responsibilities and representatives. For instance, each branch handles a different position for creating and passing a law! Through the Separation of Powers, it had broken it up into our three different branches. We each have an equal say and role without one branch becoming too powerful.
Me too! I'm glad we were able to work this out!
I like the idea of taking turns and sharing the toy! Thank you for listening to us!
