- Polonius asks Reynaldo to spy on Laertes,.he want Reynaldo to find out what Laertes is doing in Paris. Polonius hopes Laertes is studying music like he is suppose to

- When i was young i went crazy for love too, almost as bad as this.
- Ophelia comes in and tells her father that hamlet came to her chambers acting crazy. Polonius thinks Hamlet is crazy in love with Ophelia. and goes to tell the King about it
- By the way, if i were to compose an extra speech of twelve to sixteen lines and stick it to the play, you could learn it by heart for tomorrow, right?

- Polonius goes and talks to Claudius and Gertrude explaining to them why he thinks Hamlet is going insane. He believes it is because of Ophelia rejecting him and that he is in love with Ophelia.
- Polonius confronts Hamlet and tries to pinpoint as to why he acting in such a way. Yet as for Hamlet he is making fun of Polonius while making fun of him.
- Hamlet invites some actors over from a different area, to perform a theatrical scene in front of Claudius and the kingdom. One of the actors give them a sample of their work.
