Why Students Drop Out

- Every day it is such a struggle for some kids to wake up, walk, and get focused for their day that is going to be spent in an environment that feels like a prison.
- Walking up to school can be very difficult for a lot of teenagers. They do not feel welcome and as if they are intimidated by those held to a higher standard.
- In class, they can be faced with challenges and not understand what is truly happening around them. This can lead to depression and anxiety.
- After class they head home with all the anxiety and stress from this day.
- Walking home feels like peace and as if they are released from something so long and hard which feels like that of a prison sentence.
- Once they reach home, they feel a sense of excitement to talk to their parents about their long and hard day because they KNOW their parents must care.
- Unfortunately, their parents do not care. They tell them that they are overreacting and not caring enough on something as important as school! This enrages them.
- All is well as the night passes along more. They eventually fall asleep and soon it is time to wake up for school.
- The next day when they are heading to school, they end up at the bus stop. This is where they decide that all this stress is dumb and unnecessary, so they drop out and run away hoping to live a better life. Do they? NO!!
