- I'm so scared and confused about the Morlocks
- For the next two days after he saw the Morlocks for the first time, the Time Traveller could not sleep at the thought of the pale and frail bodies of the Morlocks. He did not want to go down into the darkness where the Morlocks lived but he had to because that was the only way he was going to get his time machine back.
- Slidkalniņš: 2
- The Time Traveller goes down to where the Morlocks live because he has to get his Time Machine back because they stole it. He is in pain because he is going down a 200 yard shaft that is too small for a normal size human. It is very dark and he cannot see anything unless he has a match.

- The Time Traveller walks further into the cave with a match and he sees that the Morlocks eat meat, unlike the Eloi. The cave was very stuffy and there was a strong smell of blood. There were a lot of shadows since the Time Traveller did not have much light with him and the cave was very dark.

- Ahhhh!!! I'm in so much pain. I don't even want to be down here.
- They are carnivorous!
