- Hollis is throwing food at her friend across the water, she accidentally falls in. The king has to get in the water and save her. This is important because it made Hollis and the King closer and the media saw who Hollis really was.
- Hollis talking with Silas (Chapter 18)
- King Jameson brings Hollis to a mysterious room. Hollis finds out that it's a jewelry room, that has all of the past queen's jewels in it. Jameson lets Hollis pick a jewel to wear to their dinner. This is important because it shows that Jameson really cares about Hollis.
- Hollis runs away (Chapter 24)
- Hollis was invited to a special dinner with the king. She wears her favorite dress that everyone loves. During the dinner, she learns that the king really cares for her. This is important because they get to know each other better.
- Their wedding (Chapter 31)
- Hollis ran into Silas when roaming the castle. They end up talking and realize that they both have feelings for each other. Hollis is confused because she loves Silas but she is already getting married to the King. This is important because creates it creates a conflict with her love intrests.
- Before King Jameson proposes to Hollis she tells him that she can't marry him. She runs out of the room and finds Silas. Silas gets the horses ready and is going to take Hollis to his family's farm to get married and start a new life. This is important because she left her family and soon-to-be husband behind for another boy.
- During Hollis and Silas's wedding, the darkest knights showed up. They end up killing Hollis's family. Also, Silas died along with the rest of his family except his mom and sister. Hollis and the mom and sister end up going back to Isotle to get revenge on the knights that killed their family. This is important because Hollis lost the people that she loved and now has to start another new life.
