- Acadians had to leave immediately as their land now belonged to the British Crown.
- They were forced off there land and herded onto ships and taken to either New England or back to France, with families seperated.
- The Acadians watched their homes burn down from their ships.
- Many Acadians died from diseases or starvation and their bodies were thrown overboard.
- The Acadians reached their destination of New England but were diseased and poor.
- Some Acadians made their way to Southern Louisiana where they felt more comfortable, and made what is now known as Cajun.
