- Welcome to the Indus Valley! I will be taking you on a tour of the best parts of this Civilization!
- Some families also had courtyards which were open spaces with room to play and run around. Mostly only richer families had these.
- Here, the roofs are flat on top so when people get hot they can go on the roof to feel the nice weather.
- Drains were placed on the edge of streets to carry away trash and other things polluting the Indus Valley.
- Us people in the Indus Valley do not have modern toilets so we have an underground drainage system made from connected bricks
- The Great Bath is used for ritual bathing and is believed to cleanse the soul.
- The Bath is part of a Citadel in Mohenjo-Daro and the floor is made out of sawed bricks.
- Seals were made out of clay and imprinted with animals such as buffaloes and rhinos.
- We use seals to show who owns things (like a nametag) or use them like stamps when we trade.
- Trading is a big part of our life here in the Indus valley. We ship our products (like beads) off to China to trade for their products (like gold)!
- OFF TO CHINA!!
- It usually takes very long to get to China and back with the goods, but we are used to that because we trade very often.
