- Battles of Lexington and Concord
- The battles of Lexington and Concord marked the start of the revolution on April 19th, 1775. At first, the Americans were severely outnumbered with only 80 soldiers but would lose only a fraction when compared to the British. The Americans had a good head start in Lexington but still had a lot of fighting ahead of them. Colonel Francis Smith would soon order the British to retreat from Concord and return to Boston.
- The Battles of Saratoga began on September 19th, 1777. These battles took place in Bemis Heights and on Loyalist John Freeman's farm. On October 7th the British attacked but after only a few days they were surrounded by General Gates and his battalion. On October 17th British led by General John Burgoyne. surrendered and Saratoga was a huge turning point for America

- The Battle of Yorktown lasted between September 28th and October 19th, 1781. Leading up to the battle America was struggling to get ahead. In hopes seize the British, Americans lead by Generals George Washington, Nathaneal Greene, and Charles Cornwallis made their way to Yorktown. The British were now surrounded and the battle of Yorktown begun. On October 19th the British surrendered and America was looking up the end of the war. Unfortunately, America had not yet won the war.
