- Jack goes hunting for pigs, he finds one and trails it from behind. He followed the pig's footprint and listens to the sound to hear where they are located.
- When Jack got close to the footprint of the pig he goes in to kill it, but he can hear that the pig has run away from him. He has lost the pig. Jack was furious.
- Eventually, Jack came to where Simon and Ralph were building the huts for the boys. They both were working really hard on the huts but Ralph was really mad because they kept falling down.
- Later on, Simon helped the littluns get the choicest fruits from branches they couldn't get. He handed them a handful of ripe fruits.
- After he got the fruits, Simon explored the jungle by himself. He walked where the paths lead him, and he entered a place where he thought was the calmest and most beautiful.
