- Billy weaver traveled from London to start a new job in Bath. He arrived late in the evening and needed lodging ,the Porter on the train that he traveled on pointed down the road and said he would find lodging down that road. As he walked down the sidewalk in the dark he saw a lighted porch with a sign in the window Bed& Breakfast.
- Climax
- He rang the bell a sweet old lady that could have been his grandma answered the door. He asked if she had a room to rent. She said yes please come in out of the cold. She said the room would be six pents and he said he would take it. she asked him to sign the guest book.
- Falling Action
- The guest book had the names the last to tenants who rented the same room he is in. they looked familiar to him. He remembered reading those names in a newspaper that said they were missing.
- Resolution
- The old lady invited him to have tea before he went to bed . Billy thought to himself that the old lady was very sweet, friendly and harmless . He asked her about the two tenants and she said that they were very young and handsome just like him . He asked her how long ago they had left , she said oh! they still here , they are up on the third floor , together.
- Billy just noticed that the parrot was stuffed . He said to the old lady the parrot is so life like. The old lady said she stuffed the bird herself and the dog by the fireplaces too. She said again how handsome and young he looked. The tea he was drinking had a taste he didn't quiet recognize . But it didn't taste bad
- Billy told the old lady that he had to get up early to go to the office so he should go up to bed now. The old lady said oh please finish you tea first . Then she said again how young and handsome he was . And that he was just like Mullholland and young Temple . Its not often she finds a nice young man like him .
