- Hellen was born in 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama.This was her teacher who helped Hellen learn a way sign language.
- Hellen was taught a form of sign language spelling words into peoples hands with her fingers.
- Even if she didn't at first know that what she was making words and letters but after a while she started understanding what she was doing after making the word water, now she had learned to read and write.By the age of 10 she was now able to read lips by placing her hand over peoples mouth, this skill helped her with learning to talk even though people had a hard time understanding her but she wouldn't stop because of that.
- Hellen in her 20's decided to enroll in a College called Radcliffe with her Teach by her side to help her. A few years later she Graduated.
