- In 2081 the goverment decided that people would be more prone to peace with not being jealous of one another. The goal was for complete equality.George and Hazel are one of the many familes with handicapps. While George is smart and has to deal with hearing aids that send sharp noises into his ear, Hazel has a below average intelligence which causes her to forget easliy
- Climax
- George and Hazel Bergeron son, Harrison had gotten taken to jail because of ideas on him trying to rebel against the government. George would get little time to think about his son before the sharp pain in his hearing aids would go off. While his wife would explian how she wishes she had a hearing aid and could pick the sound.
- Falling Action

- While watchig balerinas dancing on their televison Harrison's picture appered on the stcreen .The dancers were giving out a warning to not reason with him. For that Harrison tried to explain how the goverment was wrong and evil. He wanted people to take off their handicaps and be themselves.
- Resolution
- Harrison had convinced on of the dancers to dance with him and take off her handicapps. They danced together on stage as one until Diana Moon came in with a gun and shot both harrison and the dancer. Also yelling at the musicians to put back on their handicaps. However then the Bergusons TV had burnt out.
- Hazel had watched as her son had gotten shot on live television she was shocked and bewildered. Tears formed in Hazels eyes as she was overfilled with sadness. George came back from getting a beer and asked why she had been crying
- However it did not last long, as when the screen was already black another sharp noise hit George again. And as Hazels mind reset. their minds went empty and back to normal.
