Anthropology was one of the courses I anticipated taking the most. Learning about different societies and peoples ways of life was always interesting so to me.

My biggest takeaway was learning more about primates and how similar we really are to them. I had never entertained the idea too much, and I didn't really expect to learn about them when I joined the class!
In particular, the assignment that stuck with me was the extra credit, where we had to try and stand bipedally as a "primate".

My biggest takeaway from the course is to keep an open mind and to not be so ignorant to different cultures or beliefs. It was so fun and I would take it again if I could!
Not only that, but this class taught me a lot about culture and how different upbringings effect different people.
For instance, the assignment on American Tongues really stuck with me as well. Learning about how these people were treated differently based on their dialect is still something so many people in America struggle with today.
