- Ancient Greek story King Midas and the golden touch by Ayden Felton
- Hi again readers! My name is Ayden Felton, and we are going to be talking about the Ancient Greek story King Midas and the Golden Touch.
- A long time ago in Ancient Greece, there was a king named Midas. He loved three things, his daughter, his rose garden and gold. He loved seeing his daughter picking roses in the rose garden and putting it in a gold vase.
- One day, Midas found a Satyr, which is a half man, half goat, and he soon found out that he was a messenger and a good friend of a god. So he took him into the castle and took care of him until he took him back to the god.
- When they went to the Satyr's home, the god thanked him a gave him a wish. He was fine with his daughter and roses, so gold was the only thing. So he wished that everything he touched turned into gold. His wish was granted, and he ran back home.
- He told the cooks to cook up a feast to celebrate that everything has been turned to gold, but the food he tired to eat turned into gold! He was very upset.
- Soon he went to the garden and saw her daughter, and was accidentally turned into gold. He begged the gods to erase his wish, and his wish was granted.
