- Did you hear what Ms. Harris was talking about today?
- Don't you think it's crazy that the climate is changing and people still deny that it does?
- Yeah, it's really weird! Especially since there's data to show that it is.
- By the way, how do scientists even measure things like that?
- Lisa asks Ace about a class they're taking. The class in question was Biology and Lisa was very interested in todays topic, measuring and responding to change.
- I remember what they are! The indicators are how the temperature's rising, the more extreme climate events that are happening more often and how the rain and snowfall patterns are changing!
- Ace brings up data. They say "The data shows things like how sea levels are rising, how both the oceans and atmosphere are warming and even snow covers or ice and glaciers are decreasing."
- Lisa replies with, "Ms. Harris said that climate change is most commonly measured using the planet's average surface temperature. She also said that there's three indicators for it... I just can't remember..."

- Ace also takes it upon theirself to start talking about ways to respond to change. "Ms. Harris even told us about how scientist start out by recognizing the problem then move on to identifying it through analyzing and documenting it and finally changing the behavior that contributes to the changes.
- "There's also ways we can help. We can help reduce greenhouse emissions by recycling, using heating and cooling systems less, buying energy efficient products, turning lights off when they're not being used or needed, and many more!" Lisa lists off.

- They both plan to do individual research on the topic and plan to include Ms. Harris for additional information.
