- December 1620. The Indians (= the Wampanoag) help us to maintain, they learned to us how to fish, how to farm... In exchange for it, we protect them against the rival tribes...
- Autumn 1621. Grateful for what they did for us, we decided to invite the autochthons, led by Squanto and Samoset, to share a feast; because we owe salvation to our saviors.
- After the Independance War, in 1789, George Washington will formally decree that Thanksgiving will be celebrated every 26th November.
