- Hi, I am a Viking and I am going to tell you about how we lived, attacked and survived
- Surprisingly, most Vikings were farmers which grew crops such as barley, oats and rye. They also raised animals such as pigs, sheep, chickens and horses
- The rest of the Vikings were fighters who would venture out, conquer lands and come back with a lot of goods
- The most popular boats that we would use were Longships, these boats were used to make raids and carry warriors
- Us Vikings travelled by boat as it was the best means of travel during our time period.
- We would travel to areas all around us and loot everything in sight. We did have to go back home quite frequently as we wouldn't bring enough boats with us to hold all of our loot
- A usual raid would have 10-20 ships each filled with 50-60 warriors
- We also used cargo ships to carry our goods
- We liked to loot monasteries because of how much loot there was inside.
- Our favourite places to loot were churches and monasteries
- We would also take monks as slaves and kill the rest. We were very brutal.
