- A family named the Hadley's buys a smart house in the future. The smart house does everything for the family including feed them, bathe them, and rock them to sleep.
- Falling Action
- The family begins to have problems with their special "smart" kids' room. The wife claims it is broken because it is only displaying a veldt with lions eating other animals and she keeps hearing screams. The family call in a psychologist to look at the problem, and they come to the conclusion to turn off the room for good. The children throw a tantrum. They ask their father if he can turn on the room for one more minute.
- Resolution
- The parents are changing their clothes while the children get one more moment with the room. The children suddenly cry for their mom and dad to help them while they are in the veldt. The parents are worried that something may have happened to their children.
- Theme
- The parents reach the room and cannot find the children anywhere. They call for them over and over. The children lock the parents in the veldt. The lions close in on the parents. They scream! The parents realize the screams they have been hearing were their own.
- The children have a picnic while their parents are devoured in the distance by the lions in the veldt.
- Relying on technology can make people spoiled and demanding. It can also harm personal relationships.
