- NO ONE LISTENS TO ME
- Montag is seeking help in understating the books he illegally has and what messages are contained in the books. Faber at first is angered with this meeting but then agrees to let Montag into his home.
- Montag gives the Bible to Faber as he reminisces about his past. Faber admits that he is a coward as he never stood up to those who wanted to make the possessions of books illegal and he regrets not trying harder to keep books legal.
- Montag reveals that he no one listens to him anymore as he is the only one who wants to understand the messages within the books. Montag wants Faber, once a professor to help him understand the messages within the books to so he can truly be happy.
- Faber tells Montag that books themselves are not what he seeks but the details within them which can be provided in other things but are not as people want to live mundane lives without problems. Montag suggests planting books in the houses of the firemen and having them burned down but Faber disagrees so Montag begins to rip the pages out of the Bible.
- Montag through ripping up the Bible and Faber's want to restore the legality of books agree to help each other. So Faber comes up with a plan to hire a printer to print out some books and go from there.
- Montag agrees to Faber's plan as goes to see the unemployed printer. Before Montag leaves Faber gives him a n earpiece where they can communicate and plan their rebellion
