- This scene is describing when the hungry bear attacked Lyddies house during supper. ¨Next the beast knocked over a jar of apple butter but the skin lid was tied on tightly...¨(Paterson 3). This is explaining person vs nature because a bear is attacking a house for food.
- Amelia, Prudence and Betsy are warning Lyddie about going to Diana´s house. ¨´If it´s Diana Goss,´ Prudence said, ´She´s a known radical, and Amelia is concerned-´ ´Ey?´¨ (Paterson 67). Since Lyddie is fighting against Amelia, Prudence and Betsy about going to Diana´s house it is person vs person because they are fighting.

Diana is fighting against society for a 10-Hour day instead of a 13 hour day. This is demonstrating person vs society because Diana is going against society to stand for her beliefs.
