- On December 31, 1775, the British General James Wolfe decides to attack Quebec. The French defend Quebec in order to gain Canada's natural resources and fertile land. After a great deal of fighting, the British succeed in taking Quebec for themselves and force the French to retreat.
- Let there be peace and end this war!
- Pontiac's War began when the Native groups, primarily from the Ohio country and the great lakes region, became dissatisfied with the British post-war policies. Pontiacs plan was to drive the British from the valley by attacking different forts. The British were not able to be driven away, which led to them signing a peace treaty in 1766.
- There shall be no more British settlement of the western territories!
- The capture of Montreal was a necessary battle to be able to capture Canada. The British forces won the battle which completed Great Britain's conquest of France.
- The French and British ended the seven-year war (French and Indian War) by signing the Treaty of Paris in 1763.
- To stop the battles on the frontier from the colonial settlement, King George III signed the Proclamation of 1763 in hope to stop it. The Proclamation of 1763 states that there will be NO MORE "BRITISH" SETTLEMENT of the "western" territories (Ohio Valley area).
