What about SIDS, not just you but the pillows and blankets have a higher chance of SIDS, 49% of SID deaths are related to co sleeping
Another reason I choose co sleeping is because I'm able to give my baby more skin to skin contact thru out the night and more quickly meet his needs like breast feeding
You aren't necessarily wrong but studies have shown the chances of something like that happening are more likely if the parent smokes or drinks or partakes in drugs. I'm sober and aware of my child when he's in our bed so I can keep a good eye on him thru the night
What about if he falls off? your bed isn't baby proofed. especially after about 3-4 months when he will be able to roll over.
I know you care about him and thats why you worry but I think part of nature is sleeping with your baby and i think the benefits outlay the risks when done correctly
That can be a risk but we do take safety mesures to avoid that happening. another thing we do to make co sleeping safer is we put him to sleep in the bassinet and then only have him in the bed part of the night when he's fussy. makes breast feeding easier and I get more sleep
I trust your judgment and know your a good mom its only out of concern that I worry. I still think co sleeping ins't as safe with the risks it could bring
