- A monarchy is a form of government in which a person, the monarch, is head of state for life or until abdication. The political legitimacy and authority of the monarch may vary from purely symbolic, to restrict, to fully autocratic, and can expand across the domains of the executive, legislative and judicial. - Oligarchy is a form of power structure in which power rests with a small number of people. These people may or may not be distinguished by one or several characteristics, such as nobility, celebrity, wealth, education, corporate, religious, political, or military control

- Theocracy is a form of government in which a deity of some type is recognized as the supreme ruling authority, giving divine guidance to human intermediaries that manage the day-to-day affairs of the government
- Aristocracy
- A dictatorship is a form of government characterized by a single leader or group of leaders and little or no toleration for political pluralism or independent media. This means that all the power goes to one person. Most leaders with this power become tyrants and are cruel to their people.
- A Republic is a form of government in which "power is held by the people and their elected representatives"This means that the president only has part of the power. For instance, it is like the people choose their leader that they think is best, and the leader does the shot calling.

- An Aristocracy is a form of government in which a few elite citizens rule; this is usually contrasted with democracy, in which all citizens are able to rule. The highest class of people in certain societies are allowed to rule.
