- Women's SuffrageAfter much hard work and strong lobbying, women were FINALLY able to convince Congress to pass the 19th Amendment in 1920. This gave them the right to vote.

- Boll Weevil The boll weevil, a beetle that feeds on cotton buds and flowers, contributed to the economic woes of Southern farmers during the 1920s. it led to a lot of economic hardships for these groups of individuals.
- KKKProhibition surprisingly fueled the KKK. They were back and they were ruthless as ever. The Klan gained a foothold in local communities in the 1920s by arguing that it would clean up communities and get rid of bootleggers and moonshiners.
