- It was 2017, I was 10 years old. In Tracy California, it was already winter by this time it was December. It was around early in the afternoon, and I was watching Christmas movies with my brothers, my dad, and my stepmom, we were all in the living room. My stepmom always loved cold weather and I... not so much.
- While in the middle of the movie Nancy (my stepmom) My Stepmon (Nancy) points out that it’s raining. “Oh, it’s raining, look babe”. She said to my dad (Adrian). “Yeah, huh”. He replied back, Nancy soon is rushing to the front door yelling at us with excitement, “Cmon’, let's go run in the rain guys”. With that said my brothers were rushing out the door
- My stepmom looks and me and says “Mija, let go run in the rain”, “I don’t wanna get my hair wet”. I replied whining annoyed. She was still waiting at the door looking at me. I soon gave in and began walking out the door.
- we began having are race and I was not doing so well, it was very slippery, and I was going to fall. Spoke too soon ‘No! I'm gonna fall’. I thought while scaring myself slipping and tripping on my brother. They began laughing, but soon I was laughing along with them
- “Mija, go take a shower first”. I asked and she replied with “so you won’t catch a cold” “Ok, I'll be out in a sec”. I said going to the bathroom to take a shower
- ‘To be honest I kinda like the rain’. I thought while eating my soup. As the years grew on, I loved the rain even more. It was very calming and relaxing for me
