- Odysseus reaches the shore of the lotus eaters. The lotus eaters feast all day on the lotus blossoms and forget their sense of home. He warns his men about this.

- Odysseus and his men arrive at the island of the cyclops. There they get him drunk and stab him in the eye with a wooden stake.

- Odysseus reached the land of the dead and encountered Elpenor, who demanded a proper burial and found his mother who he didn't know was dead. Tiresias also appeared and advised Odysseus to make a sacrifice to Poseidon after arriving home if he wanted to live the rest of his life in peace.
