- Dedalus and Icarus were held prisoners on the island of Crete by King Minos
- The king asks Daedalus to invent new weapons, and that gives Daedalus an idea for how he and his son, Icarus can escape. He asks the king for feathers and waxes to create wings so they can get off the island and fly to Athens.
- Daedalus gets to work and starts working on his new escape plan. He creates wings so they can fly off the island but warns his son to not fly too high or to fly too low so he told Icarus to follow his lead.
- Daedalus teaches Icarus how to fly and they soar through to sky to arrive to Athens. However, Icarus went too high into the sky and with all the joy and happiness, he forgot his father's warnings.
- However, Icarus flew too high and the sun starts melting the wax. After the wax was melted, Icarus fell to his death.
- After Icarus fell to his death, Daedalus flew to Athens and mourned his son.
