- We lived in Newyork , a clean place , two bedroom flat that sat above a small new york bakery. I was six years old when I had my first pastry with sprinkles on top. I was also six years old when my mother taught me art of invisible strength.
- What Vincent taught me wasn't enough. I want to learn more about chess.
- The older person on the chair was actually my friend's brother Vincent who got the chess set and those two boys were my cousins - Wilson and George. We went to the Christmas party with him which was held in New York vacation mall. A lot of kids went to Santa even me.

- I watched Vincent and Wilson as they played chess with each other. The chessboard seemed to hold elaborate secrets waiting to be untangled. The chessman were more powerful than magic herbs that cured curses. My friend's brother wore such serious faces that I was sure something was at stake.

- I started studying and reading about chess. I read the rules and looked up all the big words in the dictionary. I studied each chess piece , trying to absorb the power each contained. I learned about opening moves and why is it important to control the center early on. I was learning about how chess works and the techniques you can use to win.
- While walking home from school , I saw a group of old men , two seated across a folding table playing chess. I ran home , grabbed Vincent's chess board , came back to the playground and approached a man who was observing a game and asked him if he wanted to play.
- Don't give up! I see you only play by the book techniques. Let me teach you some more fun and better techniques.

- After Lau Pao taught me more about chess , I started getting better and better and many people saw me defeat Lau Pao and I finally succeeded my dream. Moral - Never give up and always go after your dreams.
