You are so well behaved and helpful, Victoria! Be more like your sister, Caroline.....,
Ugh, I wish my sister didn't get all the praise all the time..
I want to make the world a better and safer place for all, no matter what it takes!
How Jung Sees Me
EQUALITY FOR ALL!!
How Rogers Sees Me
Let's play veterinarian and help the animals! That's what I wanna be when I grow up.
Adler's theory stated that birth order impacts one's personality. It can provoke childhood tension between other siblings because each sibling is constantly striving for superiority and power within one's family because of their inferiority complex. In this situation, I feel insecure about how little praise I get, which reveals my deep desire for recognition and competitiveness with my sister.
How Eysenck Sees Me
Heyyy wanna hang out this weekend?
Carl Jung's theory focused on the collective unconscious--a reservoir of images/archetypes that derive from human's universal experiences, and stereotypical roles and ideas we place onto certain things. My archetype was said to be rebel. It said I want to make things right, no matter the cost, and tend to abandon traditional customs and take unusual routes in life in order to do so. So, I showed myself advocating for equality and my great desire for change in the world.
How Costa & McCrae See Me
You are so much like your mother in that you are curious with many interests, and are very independent.
Well you are very much like your father because you are at times quiet & reserved, but hardworking and dependable.
Roger's Theory stated that people are inherently good unless they are put in an environment that inhibits good. He stated that healthy, self-actualized human beings have genuineness, acceptance, and empathy which allows us to grow. So, I showed myself as a toddler being fostered in a loving and nurturing environment showing empathy, genuineness and compassion towards others because it is how I was raised.
How Horney Sees Me
we always support our daughter in all that she does
wow! I'm so glad my parents come to all of my events. I feel so loved and supported <3
AW darn, I have plans this weekend already :(
I don't have any plans... I just don't really want to be social this weekend, it's too draining. But I feel bad.. will I miss out on the fun?
Eysenck's Theory stated that personality could be broken up into 2 or 3 dimensions--extroversion/introversion and emotional stability/instability. He also believed that these factors are greatly influenced by genetics and childhood. In this comic, I showed my moderately low sociability and reserved/anxious attitude toward social events according to the Eysenck test.
According to Costa and McCrae's "Big 5 Personality Factors," personality can be broken up into five dimensions--Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. It is also stated that heritability from your parents is around 50% . So, I used the "Big 5" factors to analyze the traits I have and what I potentially inherited from my parents to portray this theory in my comic.
Horney's Theory stated that children desired love and security, and this factor greatly influenced childhood anxiety. Horney also tried to balance the masculine bias out of psychology brought forth by Freud. In my comic, I showed my parents showing love and support, which then made me feel secure within myself and in everything I did, which greatly reduced my childhood anxiety.
