- When they arrived they took Owen out of the pickup, but then Owen got angry and charged at the people . Then when they got there at the Center Owen got more calm there.
- When the Owen came here , he followed a tortoise and crouched behind it.Like a baby hippo hides behind it's mother for protection . As the night went went on Mzee began to accept his companion.
- When it began morning Owen was crouched up against Mzee but, Mzee didn't mind at all.
- When Owen did not eat the leaves that were left out for him.Dr. Paula got worried that if Owen doesn't eat the leaves he will weaken.But then , Mzee came right beside him and was eating the leaves .It was like Mzee was teaching Owen how to eat the leaves .
- They did many things together .They swam together,ate food , and slept together . They had a big strong bond even today they have a very strong relationship and great bond.
