- Jerry Wood was in the ambulance with Ponyboy and remained in the hospital with him until the doctor told Ponyboy he was already recovered and could go home.
- Darry's Wedding

- Johnny spent the rest of his life in a wheel chair. His mom kept trying to come back in to his life, but he would push her farther away. After several attempts by his mother, he left town looking for a normal life.
- Ponyboy's College Years
- After Johnny left, Darry realized how much time of his life he had wasted. He gave up his childish acts, left the town and started working in a factory.
- A Peaceful Town
- I love this town.
- Darry met a beautiful and entrepreneur girl named Penelope. He felt in love with her and got married. The wedding was at the forest and all the greasers were invited.
- Ponyboy was awarded a scholarship to study literature at Harvard University. He began studying immediately after Darry's wedding and got a partial job at the library.
- I did it!
- Now, there is a lot of peace in the city as there are no gangs, killings or robberies. All children play happily ever after in the streets.
