- History of Nepal Democracy
- In 1990 Nepal was a monarchy type of government under the king.
- The king faced with a communist movement against absolute monarchy.
- The king created a parliamentary monarchy with the king as the head of the state and the prime minister as the head of government
- On December 10 ,2007, The parliament passed a bill making the prime minister the head of state. Then on May 28 ,2008,Lawmakers of Nepal legally declared the counrty democratic & ended the 239 years of royal rule.
- But sadly he was killed in 2001
- The new king was not ready to accept the democratic rule . so in 2005 people of Nepal and political parties launched a massive movement for democracy
