Hello friends, today we will be talking about phylum vertibrates.
Vertibrates are animals that have a back bone. We classify vertibrates into 5 classes: FISH,AMPHIBIANS, BIRDS, REPTILES and MAMMALS
What are vertibrates?
How can we distinguish these creatures ???
HMM, I love fish
Fishes have gills, fins, they live underwater, they have scaly skin . Fishes breathe through their gills and they include: cod, salmon, kingfish etc.
HOOMAN AND DOOGY. COOL
MMM! Yummy fish
Amphibians have moist, scaleless skin, the young go through a larvae stage involving gills. Adults breath through their lungs. Amphibians include frogs and salamanders
Cool, what's next doggy?
Next are the watchers of the sky, BIRDS. Birds have limbs which are converted into feathers, they have beaks, feathers cover their bodies. Birds include that Eagle in the sky, or that goose in the water.
But sadly, we cannot fly
COOL, I also want to fly.
Next we have is reptiles. Reptiles have scaly sking. They breath through their trachea and lay eggs. Reptiles include turtles, crocodiles, snakes, lizards etc.
YUMMY HOOMAN, I EAT.
Is that a T-rex. RUN CAPE DOG! AHHHHHHH
And finally, we have mammals. Mammals are animals that give birth to young instead of laying eggs, they feed their young with milk. Mammals have four limbs. Examples of Mammals are zebras, rabbits, elephants, and even I am a mammal, a dog.
