  • Having just taken back Judaea was confident in his abilites and decided to invade Parthia. Even though he had an army of 100,000 Romans several defeats later he gave up and retreated.
  • Now we have taken back this fair city!
  • Octavian now saw an oppurtunity to take out the triumvirate. He did so by forming a new alliance with the traditional Republican aristocracy. Octavian than began attacking Mark Antony for divorcing Octavia to be with Cleopatra. He said that Cleopatra was trying to get control over The Roman Empire by being with Mark. Octavian was then greeted with Cleopatra announcing that he was not Caesars's heir and that her son Caesarion was the heir.
  • Could they give me a break...
  • Octavian was mad and decided to declare war on Cleopatra. This split some Roman Legions as most supported Octavian but some were for Mark Antony.
  • We shall come after her! This is WAR!
  • In 31 B.C Octavian defeated Mark Antony in the Battle of Actium. Fought on the West Coast of Greece. Mark and Cleopatra were force to flee back to Egypt where they stayed in Alexandria.
  • At last we have won.
  • Octavian then sent his troops to Alexandria where they surrounded the city. When the troops arrived Mark Antony ran out to fight and fell on his sword.
  • My sword!!!
  • Cleopatra was then captured by Octavian to be taken back to Rome. However, Cleopatra never made it to Rome as she had planned for a snake (to kill herself with) to be brought to her holding room. She then let the poisnous snake bite her and it killed her.
