The men went to the shed at night and attacked. Tom, Huck, and Jim escaped the shed through a hole that they cut through the wall. They ran and headed for the river.

Huck, Tom, and Jim run to the river and Tom makes a noise, which attracts attention of the men. The men begin to shoot at them while chasing after them.
Huck, Tom, and Jim run to their canoe and go downstream to an island where their raft is. They are all happy that they escaped, especially Tom who had a bullet in his leg. Huck and Jim are worried about Tom and Jim suggests that they should get a doctor.
Huck leaves Jim and Tom on the island, while he goes to find a doctor. Huck finds a doctor and brings him back to the island to treat Tom.
