- Remember that International Men's Day event at our school on 19th November 2021? And our focus group on 9th May 2022?
- Yeah, I do! I'd like to volunteer to take part in the last bit of research...
- Me too! Apparently, this time we will be working as co-researchers at the male mental health event we helped to design through our input at the focus group.

- To help young males across the UK, I would like you to attend the Year 10 male mental health event and capture notes/reflections in a research diary. If you and your parents are happy to consent, just turn up to the event!
- Hi, I'm Mrs Bye-Gannon. I teach English here but I am also a PhD research student at the University of Northampton.
- Hi miss! I had a question about being a co-researcher. What will it involve?
- Our knowledge is power... we can help others by just being ourselves and taking notes at the event!
- The findings in our research diaries won't contain anyone's names.Mrs Bye-Gannon isn't going to pick out any individuals or write who said what.
- Yeah, she told me that she wants to capture any ideas we all have that might help teenage boys across the UK.
- I wanted to check that you are still happy to help me with my research. Don't forget that the online survey is voluntary and anonymous!
- During P5, you can complete an optional online survey about the event and what it is like to be a co-researcher.
- We are happy to help and know we can return to our normal lessons if we change our mind about taking part.
